"Ever since the weather got really cold, I've been working on a new RR
station. I designed it based on a local station that's been turned into a small
shop. I added an extra gable over the ticket windows and extended the windows
out a bit. I've poured a separate foundation with in-laid stone for the walkway
and loading platform...I lost count of the various pours I've made...just finished
the last one for the short gable above the ticket window. Instead of waiting
until it's finished, I'd thought I'd send you some pictures in progress.
Its all out of cement except the wood trim. The roofline was a bit tricky with
the extra gable. Your book and detailed directions were quite helpful...especially
the advanced instructions at the end. I called it Markley Station in honor of
this little 8 year old boy who's summer home is 4 doors down from my garden
RR. Markley is this wonderful, round-faced, red-headed, freckled kid who cuts
a path all his own."

I
finished Markley Station a few weeks ago. It's all cement except the wood trim
& shakes. Added several light fixtures and some copper ridge trim.
It should be out in the garden this summer. Next up is a country church. JB
