Garden Railroading is "outdoor" fun! When you model "Quikrete® Vinyl Patcher Cement", your models can live outside on your railroad – year 'round. "All-Weather" models withstand weather conditions like UV, rain, heat, snow, ice, humidity, moisture, wind, hail and they can remain in wet, water environments. Learn how to do this inexpensive, highly detailable and fun method of modeling with (How to Model in Stone & Cement).

In '08 - We introduced a line of Window and Door Kits in both G (1:24) and Fn3 (1.20.3) Scales. This new line stressed detail, realism, and new styles. White styrene was laser cut. Sills and jams were slotted to snap-together. "Footprints" were introduced to kits like the Storefront. (Kits, Windows & Doors and More . . . ) We designed a waterwheel after the famous "Fitz" plus a full sluice & raceway – "WaterWorks"(Mills) The line filled out to include accessories like tall chimneys, cornices and a full line of masonry/stone windows and doors that were recessed makes casting in cement a breeze.

New in '10 - The line continues . . . we think we've finally created the best enginehouse doors available (after our previous resin and cement efforts) These have details on BOTH sides, open and close, are 3/16" styrene laminated (should not warp), and fit most large scale engines (with a height that will take a bear trap). Plus more recessed doors - firehouses, mills, and depots. . . and a waterbarrel platform to add detail to all those trestles we've built over the years! (Kits, Windows & Doors and More . . . )

Consider Stoneworks as a resource for real stone modeling; a source for dimensional stone from United States quarries; for "How To" and books on cement modeling large-scale railroad structures, stone, or waterwheel mills; and a continuing line of door, window and accessory kits for depots, buildings, mills . . . hopefully styles that you need for modeling. We continue to support our fellow garden railroaders with "real" voices living in Missouri! Give us a call. Here are some examples of real stone modeling efforts:
